TaylorMade Flight Control Technology (FCT)

Change the face angle, lie angle and loft to affect side-to-side flight by up to 40 yards –8 different club head positions.
How to adjust the R9 - The Taylo Made R9 driver has a small metallic sleeve positioned over the tip of the shaft. The shaft is secured to the club head with a specially made bolt in the bottom of the club head. The FCT bolt is designed to be retained in the well to eliminate the chance of losing it. At the bottom of the sleeve is a ring of small, gear like teeth, which tightly mesh with a second ring of matching teeth within the hosel. You can change the club head's characteristics (face angle, loft, lie) by loosening the FCT bolt, removing the shaft from the head, rotating the sleeve and shaft into a specified position, then locking them into that position within the head with the FCT bolt.

The R9 includes one 16-gram &two 1-gram changeable weights. This allows you to change the clubs center of gravity location to affect side-to-side flight by up to 35 yards. Put the heavy weight in the heel port to promote a draw, in the toe port to promote a fade, and in the middle port to promote a straight flight

I bought the R9 driver for a long time, but the club is just as what I received it. I am very happy that the club can keep so well after using it for many times. It is really a great club for any golfer to have.

The TaylorMade often takes the good quality clubs to customers, and recently, I bought the R9 driver, it is the best one that I have ever used, the driver is very nice, I want to say that I would like to use the driver to have a good performance, the club can really improve my skill.

Thanks for your follow-up. The R9 Driver arrived today. I havent had a chance a really look at it but everything appears to be fine. I look forward to ordering some Titleist woods next.

I think the R9 was in very decent looking condition, the adjustability of the club is what I was looking for because I have a fade swing and i am trying to not fade the ball as much with this new club My swing does not work well with a draw set up, so I only used it about 40 times in December with the 16 gram weight in the HEEL and the shaft in the L position and it worked to my liking, very little fade and distance in December was a little short but the air and balls were cold.

I spent a few afternoons belting balls with TaylorMade R9 Driver and came back immediately impressed with how easily the ball carried. Even GP Editor, Eric managed to finally out distance the ladies’ tees. Oh, and it doesn’t sound like an empty tuna can (read: square drivers). I prefer not to work the ball off the tee (too much risk), but that doesn’t mean hitting it straight is always easy for me either. A few quick adjustments later, and the club helped me set up in a comfortable and confident address position. The rest was history.

You should try TaylorMade R9 Driver out this spring, it's beginning to catch fire and will soon be one of the better drivers available. Give the Taylormade R9 a good look this year. Great driver!
